G.A.S. Drummers are back again. After 15 years on the road worldwide sharing the stage in venues and festivals with bands such as Rancid, NoFX, Propagandhi, Pixies, Millencolin, Pennywise, Sick of it All, Satanic Surfers, Adhesive, Good Riddance, Berri Txarrak, and so many others….
After teaming up with Tim Armstrong (Rancid, Operation Ivy) in his new solo project as Tim Timebomb, G.A.S. Drummers are bringing us their new album, which is their 6th studio album, called “We got the light” to be released by Kicking Records. The new sounds approach us to their punk-rock roots that back in the day where the engine for them to form this band. The release will be a LP+CD pack and it will be available next february 2013.

“We got the light” was produced by G.A.S. Drummers and it was recorded by Rafa Camisón at Estudio Setentaynueve last summer in Jerez, Spain; and it was mixed and mastered by the mighty Stephen Egerton (ALL / Descendents) at Armstrong Recording, Tulsa, USA.
The artwork duties relied on Ricardo Cabrita at Return to Life Design, a longtime friend of the band from Lisbon, Portugal.

Some of the guest musicians in this album are Chris Hannah of Propagandhi, singing in the song “Blind”, Geir Pedersen of Adhesive, singing in the song “Fallen Angels”, Jody Death from the Mexican Sugar Skulls featuring in “The Failure of Senses” and Jeff “Rhino” Neumann who played guitar in “Fallen Angels”.

This new album follows “Proud to be nothing” (1999), “The True Charm of Bourgeoisie” (2001), “Dialectics” (2003), “Standards Down” (2005), “Decalogy” (2009) y “We were the G.A.S. Drummers (lost & found songs 1999 – 2010) a compilation of outtakes and demos to date.

G.A.S. Drummers are ready for a new assault to European roads, so be aware for tourdate news very soon.
